EPRA wins industry accolade
Mon, 4 Apr 2011Congratulations to EPRA for winning the President's Award for its New Northbridge project at the 2011 Urban Development Institute of Australia Awards for Excellence.
EPRA beat strong competition to take out both the national award in the urban renewal category and the overall President's Award for its transformation of more than 27 hectares of Northbridge into a new, cosmopolitan residential and business centre.
Mills Wilson was pleased to work with EPRA to prepare the award-winning submission for the project.
Director Marie Mills said the revitalisation of New Northbridge had been a landmark project for Perth and Mills Wilson had been pleased to work with EPRA to gain recognition for their vision and hard work.
"The team at Mills Wilson congratulates EPRA on this well-earned win and we look forward to working with EPRA on its leading urban renewal work in the future," Marie said.
New Northbridge is one of several urban regeneration projects being undertaken by EPRA to revitalise Perth's inner city areas and create vibrant places for the community to enjoy.
Among EPRA's other projects are the Perth Cultural Centre redevelopment, which will be showcased during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in October, and the Perth City Link project, which will connect Perth to Northbridge for the first time in more than 100 years.
