Mills Wilson awarded for property launch
Thu, 23 Sep 2010Mills Wilson has been awarded a high commendation from the Public Relations Institute of Australia (WA) for the launch of a new residential community in the north of Perth.
The communications strategy developed to support the launch of the new residential estate in November 2009 was one of two campaigns that received a 2010 State Award for Excellence in the 'Consumer Marketing and Social Marketing' category.
The high commendation from the peak industry body acknowledged the comprehensive public relations strategy implemented by Mills Wilson to maximise homebuyer and stakeholder exposure to the new residential estate.
A combination of the stakeholder engagement, media relations, events, direct mail and investor relations activities were undertaken to inspire stakeholders and homebuyers to support the new community, which has only just started development.
Mills Wilson Director Marie Mills said the agency worked in close collaboration with the client to ensure the best possible results from the launch.
"The launch of the new estate provided an opportunity to gain widespread exposure, coverage and acceptance in the property market and to position our client as an ongoing leader in the industry," Ms Mills said.
"The campaign achieved so much interest that successive land sales were brought forward; homebuyers camped for 'unseen' land and saturation media coverage was achieved. "
"Our client was also able to engage with those stakeholders of strategic importance to the project and therefore position the estate for ongoing success over the next decade or so."
